Our Cary 50 Bio Uv-vis spectrophotometer with Peltier
accessory. The Peltier allows to monitor reactions and
do enzyme kinetics at a controlled temperature.
 

We also have a Thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA)
machine (shared with Professor Asefa). It's a TA Instruments Q500 high resolution device with
carousel for multiple samples.

thermocycler, electrophoresis units, heat blocks, oven,
DNA purification kits, etc.
All this just for growing Streptomyces!
