Faculty Opportunities
Our three universities are expanding aggressively over the next several years. This provides a special opportunity for research collaborators and married couples to move to Syracuse together. Links are provided below to all open searches including those in areas not related to SB3.
We are particularly interested in applicants whose research experience includes:
- Protein and RNA crystallography.
- Protein, RNA, and polysaccharide NMR.
Inquiries from highly regarded senior scientists are also welcome. Of special interest are tenured faculty whose research focuses on biomolecular structure determination and who desire an active role in developing the program. Contact the SB3 Program Director to begin a confidential discussion.
Our universities are engaged in construction of new facilities for life scientists:
- Syracuse University - 120,000 sq. ft. addition to the Center for Science & Technology to accommodate biology and other life sciences.
- SUNY ESF - Recent completion of the 70,000 sq. ft. Jahn Chemistry building. This includes an NMR facility with 600 and 300 MHz instruments for solid and liquid samples.
- SUNY Upstate - Renovation of Weiskotten Hall to include a macromolecular X-ray diffraction facility.
